Turning on Light to Pee at Night causes Cancer!!!

If there's anything science is good at, it's discovering new, strange ways for us to get cancer. Scientists have found a new one: Turning on the lights when you take a late-night trip to the bathroom!
According to actual scientists from the UK and Israel, sudden exposure to light at night "triggers an 'over-expression' of cells linked to the formation of cancer." Scientists compared a group of mice that were exposed to a light for one hour to mice that were kept in the dark, and found that brain cells linked to their Circadian rhythm were changed.
     One researcher had this recommendation:
"If you want to get up to go to the toilet, you should avoid reaching for the light switch. There are some plug-in lights that just glow, that are safe and you could use them as an alternative."
I don't know what to say about this but after reading this article, I was sure of this one thing, Clearly, this research is sponsored by the "plug-in lights that just glow" industry.

Make a Difference

Once upon a time there was a wise man who used to go to the ocean to do his writing. He had a habit of walking on the beach before he began his work. One day he was walking along the shore. As he looked down the beach, he saw a human figure moving like a dancer. He smiled to himself to think of someone who would dance to the day. So he began to walk faster to catch up. As he got closer, he saw that it was a young man and the young man wasn't dancing, but instead he was reaching down to the shore, picking up something and very gently throwing it into the ocean.
As he got closer he called out,” Good morning! What are you doing?"
The young man paused, looked up and replied, "Throwing starfish in the ocean."
"I guess I should have asked, why are you throwing starfish in the ocean?"
"The sun is up and the tide is going out. And if I don't throw them in they'll die."
"But, young man, don't you realize that there are miles and miles of beach and starfish all along it. You can't possibly make a difference!"
The young man listened politely. Then bent down, picked another starfish and threw it into the sea, past the breaking waves and said, "It made a difference for that one."

Doesn't matter if you alone can't change the whole world; Start today and make your contribution, who knows where and to whom you'll make a difference.

A Hilarious Mail from a frustrated victim of chain mails

I wanted to thank all my friends and family who have forwarded chain letters to me in 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 ,2008 and 2009 and continuing it in 2010 also.......

Because of your kindness:
* I stopped drinking Coca Cola after I found out that it's good for removing toilet stains.
* I stopped going to the movies for fear of sitting on a needle infected with AIDS.
* Forwarded hundreds of mails but still waiting for FREE DESKTOP, LAPTOP, CAMERA,
* I smell like a wet dog since I stopped using deodorants because they cause cancer...
* I don't leave my car in the parking lot or any other place and sometimes I even have to walk about 7 blocks for fear that someone will drug me with a perfume sample and try to rob me.
* I also stopped answering the phone for fear that they may ask me to dial a stupid number and then I get a phone bill with calls to Uganda, Pakistan, Singapore and Tokyo...
* I also stopped drinking anything out of a Can for fear that I will get sick from the rat faeces and urine.
 * I also donated all my savings to the Amy Bruce account. A sick girl that was about to die in the hospital about 7,000 times.... (Poor girl! she's been 7 since 1993...)
* Still open to help somebody from Nigeria who wants to use my account to transfer his uncle's property of $ 100 million. So much trustworthy.* I have forwarded 35 emails to 400 people hoping that Ericsson or Nokia will send me latest mobile phones but those models are also obsolete now.* Made some Hundred wishes before forwarding those Ganesh , Tirupathi Balaji pics etc. Now most of those 'Wishes' are already married (to someone else)

NOW IMPORTANT NOTE :
If you do not send this e-mail to at least 11,246 people in the next 10 seconds, a bird will Pee on your head today at 6:30pm
Nothing has happened till now..... .... ......... ..... relax !!!

Cricket: Mangoose bat

THE MONGOOSE MMI3 CRICKET BAT is a cricket bat specifically designed for Twenty 20 cricket and is the first major redesign for over 200 years. The design is unusual in that the blade is 33% shorter than a conventional bat and the handle is 43% longer. The manufacturer claims that this provides 20% more power and 15% more bat speed and gives the batsman an advantage.

This kind of a bat is especially useful and lighter than the traditional cricket bat. Its blade is 33 per cent shorter than a conventional bat and the handle is 43 per cent longer. The decreased length of the blade helps to reduce the bat's weight while the long handle allows optimum reach to the batsman. The lightness of the bat helps in increasing the bat speed and allows the batsmen to hit the ball harder while batting. The change in the length of the blade does not affect the performance of the batsman in any way since it is the middle of the bat(the part which is located on the backside of the thick scoop of the bat)that is required for hitting the ball.

On 11 March 2010, Mongoose launched its range in India with the announcement of MATTHEW HAYDEN as an ambassador.

Hayden debuted the Mongoose Bat in Chennai Superkings match against the Delhi Daredevils on March 19th 2010.He scored 93 runs out of 43 balls ( 9 fours & 7 Sixes).

iPad is just a big iPod Touch

I had this question in my mind from the beginning: What is the difference between iPod Touch and the iPad other than the size. And soon after the release of the iPad, I read this news,
"I'm sure you've heard about reverse engineering and industrial espionage, they are the bread and butter of a competitive tech industry, but I had no idea there were firms that specialize in the process. They've just released glorious, revealing details of the Apple iPad's hardware, and a complete breakdown of the new, top-secret A4 processor.

The pictures and details of the iPod uncovered are juicy, ultimately, there isn't anything exciting under the hood.  The iPad is merely a large iPod Touch, with almost identical hardware in places. iPad has a giant battery with a tiny [circuit] board attached to it -- and looking at the picture above, you can see why!
So, no real news here I'm afraid, unless you're trying to mollify a Mac fanatic. What you're paying for is a large touch-screen and a giant battery -- you are not buying a piece of 'magic', but simply a large iPod Touch. The devil, as always, is in the software. It would not be the first time that Apple has shoehorned some fantastic software into a shiny, but otherwise lackluster hardware package."

Still want to buy an iPad? Its up to you now. I would still like to advise you to wait for a few weeks until Apple reduces the prices. Remember what happened with the iPhone and the Mac book Air. Apple released them with a high price and after a couple of weeks dropped the prices by 20%.
