The Motivation to Work

One question that everyone needs to ask themselves.
What is my motivation to work. If any one has an answer as Money, then thats the end of a career. I would be more sad if that answer comes from a person who has an IQ above 150. The motivation for work is to return something to the society. People doing science would be the first among them. Work in academia, research hard, finding something new and give it back to the society. People would work more on the findings to find something new, which is applied back to better our lives.
What would be the resultant if everyone was working just to fill bank accounts with money. Using all your talent just to satisfy yourself and your family. Resultant would be that you would work only during your office hours, 8 hours or whatever that is told to you to work for, you hate your job, want to get out of your office the moment you get in, wail away all the time you have, what is the use of such a person to the society. I have seen scientists who crave for time, who work day and night just to satisfy their passion to excel. Its so unfair that all the worthy and the unworthy have the same amount of time. I hate people who have tons of time at their hands but do nothing. Motivation for work should not be money, should never be.
